Bell & Ross continues the development of its BR03 range with this new kaki model that sports a resolutely military look. Light, waterproof, resistant and easy to read, in short, a 42 mm watch ideal to roam discreetly in the jungle, at the other end of the world. Bell & Ross’ Instrument BR01 XXL was a resounding commercial and aesthetic success. However, for some customers, a very large diameter may not be ideal for everyday wear. In order to seduce amateurs requesting watches in more “classical” and reasonable sizes, Bell & Ross developed in 2007 a 42 mm timepiece, the BR03, a true alternative to the BR01’s 46 mm. In the same vein as its “big sister”, this model is an authentic replica of a plane’s cockpit clock, a professional instrument by essence. Following the example of the BR01, this BR03 remains an essentially utilitarian watch, specially designed for pilots. As all the models of the brand, the Instrument BR 03-92 Military remains true to the four founding principles of Bell & Ross: readability, functionality, precision and waterproofness. In this new model, and as a homage to soldiers who were the first professionals to use a wristwatch as a tool to fulfil their mission, Bell & Ross offers an authentically military version of the BR03. True to the army’s technical specifications, the kaki dial is perfectly readable by day and night, the sapphire glass is scratchproof and the movement is of high precision. Like all genuine military watches, the nonreflective matt black colour of the case and the kaki dial, colour of the military uniform, make it the camouflage watch by excellence. The model costs 2,300 euros. Press release/Valerie Hill |
