Diamond-set GrandCliff Ice and GMT Power reserve

When luxury meets purity, the secret dream comes within reach. By offering the GrandCliff Ice in a diamond-set version, Pierre DeRoche is ushering in a new era, that of supreme elegance coupled with a remarkable level of technical mastery.

This sumptuous timepiece is enhanced by 64 diamonds delicately set on the bezel. With this version of the GrandCliff, Pierre DeRoche is paying a double tribute; first, to all women, and second, to an exceptional line of watchmakers.

Originally technical and substantial, and therefore very masculine, the GrandCliff has undergone a profound change of personality with this silvered version on a white crocodile strap. Presented in February 2007, the GrandCliff Ice was a unisex model. For her, for him, for them: this could have been the slogan for this fascinating piece. With a stroke of genius, the Joux Valley watchmaker has now femininized it.

As this year draws to a close, Pierre DeRoche is presenting a jewellery version of the GrandCliff Ice, investing this androgynous model with a touch of luxury by dressing it with 64 diamonds (1.28 carat). This change does not undermine its appearance or lessen the emotional impact of a watch of rare quality. Housing a Dubois Dépraz movement and an open-worked, engraved rotor, the diamond-set GrandCliff Ice, like its elder sister, is equipped with a retrograde chronograph and large date.

Not to be outdone, the GrandCliff GMT Power Reserve is a potent example of the originality born of time-honoured expertise and a highly contemporary design. Presented at BASELWORLD 2007, the watch offers a multiple reading of the time with a display combining a second time zone and a power reserve. The GMT Power Reserve is a truly impressive creation; one just has to look at the dial! With its different counters, it boasts no less than five hands at its centre; quite extraordinary!

Pierre DeRoche masters to perfection the art of watchmaking associated with such grand masters as Marcel Dépraz. Founder of the very celebrated Dubois-Dépraz workshop, Marcel Dépraz was the first of a unique line of highly skilled watch craftsmen. A tradition that is carried on by his great-grandson Pierre Dubois, who is none other than the founder and CEO of Pierre DeRoche. The legacy of this family tradition characterizes all the models produced by this young watch brand, thus explaining the huge impact of the SplitRock and GrandCliff collections ever since they were launched.
