Candino was founded in 1947 by Adolf Flury-Hug, who opened a watchmaking studio in the annex of his family home in Herbetswil in the Swiss canton of Solothurn. Even today, the original workshop proudly remains standing beside the company’s ultra-modern factory inaugurated in 1989. Not by chance has it resisted the onslaughts of time and modernization – for it’s a symbol of the commitment of Candino to remain faithful to the principles of its founders. The Swiss Made quality seal epitomizes the sheer excellence of Swiss-made products. To obtain this recognition, Candino has to work within the stringent criteria of the Swiss watchmaking tradition, while using the most advanced materials and technology and carrying out quality control checks at every stage of the manufacturing process. To keep in step with an ever-evolving market, Candino has constantly modernized its production facilities and management principles. Owned by the Festina Group since 2002, Candino produces some 2000 watches a day at its Herbetswil factory. Candino develops its own models, and its production breaks down between 80% quartz movements and 20% mechanical movements. The brand is present in 65 countries. In a throwback to the 50s and a return to the graphic style, Candino presents a classic chronograph watch, angular in style and both sporty and urbane in profile. Its masculine aesthetic provides elegant contrasts and focuses on the essentials: black and steel, clean lines and a remarkably easy to read dial. This model is available in pink PVD, with a silver dial and brown strap, as well as in a version with three hands and date. The collection is completed by a model with 12 luminescent Arabic numerals.
